Back 2 The Wild
Basement Jaxx
WE SAY
Last seen in 2011 on the soundtrack for Attack The Block, Basement Jaxx have made us wait a few years for new material. The title of their new single - the third release on new London label 37 Adventures - couldn't be more apt; Back 2 The Wild is vintage, Rooty-era Jaxx - a carnival of congas and cowbells under a riot of roaring lions, tribal horns and bleating vuvuzelas, all topped off with some frenzied chanting from Seoul sisters Miss Emma Lee and Baby Chay. Premiered by Annie Mac last Friday night, this club monster is sounding great on the radio, but we can't wait to see it performed live. On July 21 Basement Jaxx return to the stage with full live band for the first time since 2009, closing out the Summer Series at Somerset House. Video.
