With their fourth album Fever currently sitting at No.1 in the Belgium charts since it release two weeks ago (plus No.11 in Netherlands & 24 in France), Belgium-based Balthazar are in fine form and bring their brand of indie to the UK shores tomorrow (12 February) for a sold-out show at the Scala in London. Led by the songwriting frontmen of Maarten Devoldere and Jinte Deprez, Fever sees the band inhabiting new ground this time around with a more playful and carefree attitude that draws on the frontmen's recent solo outings and brings a hazy R&B infused pop sound to the mix. Their latest single, Wrong Vibration is a perfect example of this with its sumptuous harmonies and vibes coursing through this gem. Q and Clash are fans of the album while further tastemaker support has come from the likes of Spotify, Paste Magazine and Indie Shuffle among others. Gloriously chilled indie with flourishes of playfulness and a soul-tinged heart.
