BABY STRANGE
WE SAY
Playing twice at The Great Escape in Brighton on May 9, BABY STRANGE come from Glasgow and are building up quite a name for themselves, especially on the live circuit. They recently guested on Nick Grimshaw's Radio 1 breakfast show and played an acoustic track which led to them being invited onto the line-up for the station's One Big Weekend event in their Scottish home city later this month. Plays across the station for this excellent song have now come from every specialist show. They'll be playing two gigs in Brighton during The Great Escape and their next London show is at The Barfly on June 3 as part of a UK mini-tour. Musically, you'll hear early '80s guitar influences from greats such as The Cure and Joy Division, but the chorus of this is truly about as instant as any beery boys-night-out guitar anthem you could think of from the past three decades. Definitely ones to watch. We'll be down the front.
