WE SAY
We first supported this original version of Obsesión months ago, then again three weeks ago. Then we featured the 3rd Wish version and said it had a head start on breaking the UK. Well, it looks like there will now be a genuine race between the two to hit first in the UK. Aventura's verison has sold 1.5 million singles, hitting number one in France (seven weeks at the top), Germany (eight weeks and counting), Italy (a record- breaking 16 weeks), Holland and Belgium, plus it spent two weeks at the top of the Europe-wide chart. There is an Aventura version in English but this version works better for us. We'll leave it up to you to decide whether this is better than the 3rd Wish version - they both sound like hits to us, and we sincerely hope one or both of them will be in the UK.
