WE SAY
Finnish singer Astrid Swan is an artist we've loved since her first album Poverina. In fact, we featured a track from that album back in 2005 before Minty Fresh picked it up for the US. Now backed by a band, The Drunk Lovers, her latest album Better Than Wages is due out in Finland next month. Her signature piano has been replaced by an intriguing variety of synths and guitars, as demonstrated on this fun 70's-influenced album opener, but her striking vocal delivery remains. Astrid Swan is available in various territories. JF
