To The Edge, the latest track from Croydon born singer Asha, is a beautifully sparse, sublime and confident single. The soul groove delights in its simplicity with its laid back guitars, echoing clicks and rumbling electronics and the gorgeous production gives the song a luxurious veneer that accentuates her soaring vocals as she sings ‘you make me think I can fly’. Premiered by The Line Of Best Fit, who stated “To The Edge is Asha at her finest; in control, honest and mature”, they’re one of many online mags and blogs (including The 405, Fader and Pigeons & Planes) who have sung her praise since she emerged with her first release We Can Do This.
