Be My Man

WE SAY
We first featured Asa when the buzz from her debut record spread from France some years ago. She's now back with her second album Beautiful Imperfection and Be My Man is the delightful first single. There's a quaint pop-soul feel to this, and it highlights what Caroline Sullivan called her 'enchantingly drowsy vocals' (Guardian F&M playlist). It is currently a Record of the Week on Radio 2 and has been added to the B list this week. BBC London, Smooth and Q Radio are also supporting and a Radio 4 session on Loose Ends is lined up for April, when she comes over to co-headline a Barbican Hall show with Tiken Jah Fakoly. The video has been added to the playlists at The Box and Channel AKA. The album, which is certified gold in France, is nominated for Impala album of the year award.
