WE SAY

Continuing our Ones To Watch 2024 is the indie duo Arliston. Originally formed as a studio-only project in 2018 by south Londoners Jack Ratcliffe (vocalist & instrumentalist) and George Hasbury (instrumentalist and producer), the duo have now become a fully-fledged band following a series of EP releases and winning over a legion of loyal fans for their mesmeric blend of spacey production and dreamlike rich harmonies. Their latest EP ‘How In Heaven’, mixed and co-produced by Brett Shaw (Foals, Florence + the Machine), contains this beautiful gem, which also recently featured in Made in Chelsea. Along the way, the duo have picked up radio support from Radio 1 and Amazing Radio, tastemaker praise from Earmilk, Clash, Wonderland, Notion and more, as well as DSP playlist features from Spotify (NMF, Most Beautiful Songs in the World, Easy) and Apple Music (New in Alternative, New in Indie). We love their blend of soaring instrumentals and swirling soundscapes, coupled with an insightful lyricism that reminds us of Bon Iver, Alt-J and the National. Next year, Arliston are set to release their debut album, and we think they are a group that you should keep your eyes on in 2024.
