The season for fingerless gloves and acoustic guitars in chilly church venues fast approaches, so be sure to include rising 21 year-old singer-songwriter Annie Eve in your autumn introspection plan. A regular at Communion club nights, Annie has supported Fionn Regan, Bear's Den, Daughter and fellow Young & Lost Club alumni Little Green Cars, as well as taking her delicate and emotionally honest songs to festivals including Bushstock, Wilderness and Secret Garden Party. Debut single and blog favourite Elvis picked up support at Radio 1, 6Music and Xfm, and this stunning new track looks set to do likewise. Languid and listless, Bodyweight washes in like a tide, a four-minute slow build of layered vocals and slide guitar lines, shuffling hi-hats and swelling bass. Perfect for St Pancras Old Church, her sold-out Communion show tonight with full band, well worth checking out.
