WE SAY

24-year-old Angel, aka Sirach Charles, has been a solid favourite in the underground scene for many years. However, thanks to his debut release Go In, Go Hard being used as the title track to successful independent British film Streetdance 2 in March this year, his popularity has sky rocketed. With Cheryl Cole, Ed Sheeran and Michael Kiwanuka amongst those who call themselves fans (with latter jumping on an SBTV A64 with him) the Shepherd's Bush native has acquired accolades including HMV's Next Big Thing and MTV's Brand New Award nominations, as well as taking up a tour support slot for Dappy and selling out his own headline show within two hours of it being announced. On top of this he was also chosen by David Haye to open for his fight this Saturday (July 14) with Dereck Chisora. There's no doubt that Angel is on the rise and new single Wonderful hones the singer-songwriter's UK urban sound with a stomping chorus that's bound to echo across festival fields this summer. The track has already seen nearly one million views on YouTube and and shows no signs of slowing down. Video.
