Amanda Ghost
WE SAY
A performance of this song, along with co-writer Boy George, at Amanda’s recent London showcase really stood out for us. Her profile may be enjoying resurgence at the moment - and rightly so, she did co- write the first US no.1 by a UK artist for nine years. But there's a lot more to Amanda Ghost's canon than just the involvement with James Blunt's hits. This is from her self-released Blood On The Line EP, the title track of which is 'one of the best songs of the last ten years', according to Ghost's mentor, Joni Mitchell. This is classy, accessible music with its heart in the right place from someone with a proven track record in world class songwriting. JF London Gig: 26 April, Dublin Castle
