This feelgood dance bop number is from 18 year old London-based artist Allegra. She first burst on to the scene last year with her debut single All About Us, which reached no.7 on the Billboard Dance Chart and reached the top spot on iTunes charts in Italy and Canada. Classically trained in choir and violin, she decided to forge a path in pop at a young age, honing her vocal for more vibrant poppy sound. Written during lockdown and produced by Scott Stoddart (Audiofreaks), Do What I Want is an irresistibly catchy impassioned statement of defiance from a young artist doing it her way. Full of pop hooks with echoes of Carly Rae Jepsen, Charli XCX and even a touch of Little Mix, this righteous blast of fun premiered on Wonderland Magazine at the end of October.
