If You Think I’m Too Much (You Should Go Find Less!)

WE SAY

Last October, we featured the return of Alexis Strum after a 15-year hiatus with the infectious pop gem ‘Karma’. Previously signed to Warner Records and Universal in the noughties and has written for, among others, Kylie Minogue, Rachel Stevens, The Thrillseekers, and TV series such as ITV’s ‘Vital Signs’ and MTV’s ‘Teen Wolf’, the London-based artist found herself back in the spotlight in 2023 when a hilarious Twitter/X thread about her time as a pop star went viral. After the surrounding press coverage (Woman’s Hour, Independent, Times, and more), Alexis released two of her previously unreleased major label albums. Last Friday (7 February), Alexis dropped this ridiculously infectious and addictive pop anthem. From the echoes of mid-late ’00s glitchy synth indie scene (think Late of the Pier) to the huge pop hooks, glittering piano melodies and witty chorus, there is a lot to love about the Jim Lowe (Stereophonics, Dandy Warhols, Beyonce) produced ‘If You Think I’m Too Much (You Should Go Find Less!)’. Early support has come from BBC Radio London (with a performance and interview on the Gaby Roslin show) with forthcoming interviews on Gaydio, BBC Online and Metro. Alongside this, the track has been added to Apple Music's New In Pop playlist, and we reckon the track deserves further additions to new pop, alt-pop and upbeat playlists at DSPs, along with spins on Radio 1, Radio 2, Capital and Heart. Seriously addictive.
