Why Don't Ya
Alex Clare
Alex Clare (Distributed through OneRPM)
WE SAY
It’s been over ten years since we last featured Alex Clare here at RotD with his enormous track Too Close. That track quickly became one of the prominent tracks of 2011 and has helped him amass over 420m combined streams for his music. Now back after a five-year hiatus with this moving comeback single, Alex is ready to remind listeners and us of his impressive voice, and oh boy, he sure does. Produced by Stav Beger and co-written alongside Ivor Novello Songwriter of the Year 2021 and two-time Grammy nominee Jamie Hartman, Why Don’t Ya is a big, soulful and gospel-flecked number with a massive chorus to indulge in. Later today, the accompanying video will be premiered on Wonderland to go alongside tastemaker support from Official Charts, Rolling Stone UK, NME, BBC, MTV and more. Destined for airplay across Radio 1, Radio 2, Capital FM and Heart, this brilliant return is a warm reminder of Alex’s talent. Welcome back.
