Anchored by a slinky bass line and lilting guitars, ‘Time To Smile’ is the beautiful and Cardigans-esque release from London-based Glaswegian Alex Amor. Co-written with Bastian Langebaek (Olivia Dean, Nilüfer Yanya), co-produced by Josef Page (Aziya, Pixx), and mixed by Joseph Hartwell Jones (FLO, Chrissi, FKA Twigs), this blend of dream-pop and indie-pop has featured on editorial playlists at Spotify and Apple Music since its release last week. Taken from her forthcoming new EP, ‘Super Sonic’, the track has that cool, breezy feel that would sound great on the radio or playlists this summer. Her previous music, including a RotD, has seen Alex receive tastemaker support from BBC Radio 1, BBC Scotland, BBC Introducing, The Line Of Best Fit, Clash and Notion, to name just a few. Having supported Thomas Headon, The Snuts and Swim Deep, Alex with be headlining the Paper Dress Vintage in London next month on 24 August.
