Bad Tattoo
Alex Amor
WE SAY
Fresh off the road after supporting Thomas Headon on his recent UK tour and playing the Great Escape, up-and-coming London-based, Glaswegian indie-pop artist Alex Amor delivers this beautiful dose of dreamlike alt-pop from her forthcoming EP The Art Of Letting Go. Written with Manchester indie-folk group The Deep Blue who also lend backing vocals to the track, Bad Tattoo is a swirling, crystalline account of the aftermath of a relationship turned sour. Released yesterday (6 July), we can see this shimmering gem pick up new release programming support at DSPs on Friday, along with additions to alt-pop and mellow editorial playlists. Her previous music has seen Alex receive tastemaker support from Spotify, Apple Music, BBC Radio 1 (Jack Saunders, Annie Mac, Sian Eleri), BBC Scotland, BBC Introducing, The Line Of Best Fit, Clash and Notion, to name just a few. For fans of Billie Martin, Phoebe Bridgers and Olivia Dean.
