Polyinstrumentalist, songwriter, producer and performer AKA George is an independent artist who likes to do things his own way. After clocking up over 30 million YouTube views for his cover of Get Lucky and being hailed as a genius by Pharrell Williams himself, he turned down record deals to make and release music on his own terms. His new single, Stone Cold Classic, hooks you in with the very first riff and hand-clap as this gloriously rebellious garage-rock inspired track sinks its teeth into your subconsciousness. From the Jagger-esqe swagger and the driving beat of the White Stripes, this is a must for any alternative club dance floor or playlist. Tastemaker support has come from Clash, Sofar Sounds and Tom Robinson from BBC Introducing, who said “He is one song away from superstardom”. Fresh from a sold-out headline gig at Camden Assembly earlier this month, AKA George is planning new tour dates for 2018 and is readying his debut album for release.
