Spree
Aislinn Logan
WE SAY
London-based Northern Irish singer-songwriter Aislinn Logan is an artist who isn’t shy about trying something new. Spree sees the Belfast native moving away from the folktronica soundscapes of last year’s beautiful double AA single, So Loud / Dance With Demons and adopt a full electronic setup. Recorded at Squarehead Studios with Kristofer Harris (Belle and Sebastian, Ghostpoet), the track builds gorgeously over a mesmerising beat, dreamy melodies and rich layered harmonies. It’s an absolute joy as Aislinn, lyrically, explores the reasoning behind holding back in relationships and if you should ever give yourself to someone. Tastemaker support has so far come from the likes of Clash, The Line of Best Fit, and Nialler9 among others, plus she has received significant plays across Irish radio, including TodayFM, Dublin City FM, 98fm, KCLR fm, and URadio. She has already hinted that she will continue her every changing sound with grungy guitars and lo-fi techno playing a part in her next singles released later this year. Aislinn is a talented young artist with a knack for writing evocative songs and has everything to become a future star. We can't wait to hear what's next.
