Situation
A Little Sound & Sugababes
WE SAY
Today’s Ones To Watch 2025 is one of dance music’s emerging new artists, A Little Sound. She initially made a name for herself through her collaborations and dreamy vocal hooks on D&B anthems like ‘Back In Time’ with Kanine, ‘Weed & Wine’ with Friction and ‘Lakota’ with Technimatic. These collabs led her to be named Best Vocalist at the 2022 Drum’n’Bass Awards and fueled her ambition to be more. Since then, she has signed to Ministry of Sound, continued to tour the world, become a BBC Radio 1 Future Star (2023) and released her solo material, including the Radio 1 playlisted ‘Back To Back (B2B)’. This year has seen her go from strength to strength with D&B-focused collabs with Disrupta, Bru-C, Songer, and this stunning take with Sugababes on ‘Situation’, a fresh spin on the pop group’s classic ‘Overload’. Having performed at Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Glastonbury, and Reading & Leeds festivals this summer, the autumn saw her perform on the Listen Out tour in Australia and embark on her debut UK tour. Alongside this, she has won two awards at the 2024 Drum’n’Bass Awards, featured across playlists at Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and Deezer, and gained tastemaker praise from UKF, Data Transmission, Notion, NME, Dork and more. Plus, she was named Radio 1’s Future Artist of the Month for August, had a Radio 1 Residency in September and received support at Radio 1, Capital Dance and Kiss Dance. We can’t wait to hear the next chapter of her sound and with those catchy vocals, big bass hooks and energetic vibes, she has everything to take it to the next level in 2025.
