I Can Feel His Heartbeats

A Genuine Freakshow

Peartree / PIAS

WE SAY

A Genuine Freakshow are a Reading-based seven-piece who Mark Ellen at The Word magazine described as 'thrilling... sheets of Pink Floyd and Sigur Rós fed through the Radiohead filter'. Unsigned and self-published, the band started their own company and label to release their album Oftentimes late last year. This track, a catchy indication of the ambitious confluence of ideas on their album, was the lead single and received spot plays from Tom Robinson on 6Music, who has played their earlier singles too. Another single, Hopscotch Machine Gun Madness, is planned for March. A touring powerhouse, they are continuing to build a strong live audience with over 90 gigs since June and play Word magazine's A Word In Your Ear night at The Lexington tonight (February 1, a sold-out gig). Among further opportunities to see them play is a showcase at Metropolis Studios on March 1. The band are available for marketing support and publishing administration.
