Followers of the Shazam UK charts over the past few months can’t fail to have spotted the name 99 Souls cropping up with a song that had no official release date. In fact it was tagged over 200,000 times before it was even signed and now looks set to be one of the final major hits of 2015, after being pursued by over 40 labels, all of whom were understandably eager to snap it up. The illusive duo emerged on the dance scene this time last year and, through their own self-promotion, pushed the original bootleg debut version of this right to the top of the Radio 1 Dance Chart. It’s taken months for clearances and samples to come through, but it was worth the wait. Now containing re-recorded vocals from R&B superstar Brandy and a sample taken from Girl by Destiny’s Child, we reckon you’re about to witness this go off like a rocket. The lads play a DJ set this Saturday night (November 7) in London at We Are WHSE on Great Suffolk Street near Southwark. When they drop this tune, just watch the crowd go crackers.
