Now this dreamy slice of uplifting electronic music comes from 220 Kid, the solo project of William Edward of previously featured RotD duo OMYO. Featuring the haunting vocals of Remy, Lights is a stunning debut with a joyous and progressive blend of warm synth melodies, percussive beats and an alluring European dance feel. It’s not just us who was impressed, upon hearing the track after William sent it to his show, Pete Tong asked him to work on projects for his Deux Trois label while Diplo is also a fan. Accompanied by a gorgeous video, directed by Steve Glashier (Juliette Lewis, Fatboy Slim, Bonobo), of Remy walking through empty urban locations, the track premiered on EarMilk and is a captivating taste of what’s to come in 2019 from 220 Kid. An ethereal and addictive chilled banger of the highest quality.
