Darling (feat. Libianca)
Lewis Fitzgerald
WE SAY
Continuing to impress is our Ones To Watch 2024 artist Lewis Fitzgerald with his new version of ‘Darling’ featuring Cameroonian and American artist Libianca. Originally released last year and amassing 7.3m streams, this brilliant new collab, oozing soulful tones and Afro-beat vibes, featured heavily across new release programming and editorial playlists at DSPs last Friday. Having collaborated with US rapper Rxseboy, GRM Rated Award nominee wewantwraiths and worked with the likes of Marlon Roudette (Mabel, Wiley), Red Triangle (James Arthur, Charlie Puth) and Benji Gibson (Fred again.., Headie One, Aitch), this latest, in our opinion, is his best collab yet and should open the doors to a global market for this rising star. On the tastemaker front, his music has already caught the attention of Radio 1 (Jack Saunders, Mollie King, Victoria Jane), 1Xtra and Kiss FM. GRM Daily, MTV, Spotify, Apple Music and Deezer have all supported him, as well as two Mahogany sessions and a SBTV session. Lewis has also been featured as part of the Notion X Instagram Creators To Watch 2024 event, collaborated with TikTok LIVE and was selected for Shazam’s ‘Predications for 2024’ playlist. Fresh from selling out his first headline show in London and performing at the Great Escape festival last month, Lewis is currently supporting Mackenzy Mackay on his 2024 European tour.
