Tuned Global Significantly Expands European Team & Appoints First Head of AI 29 Mar 2023
The leading B2B music and streaming solution provider invests in Europe-based team to serve a growing number of EMEA customers whilst expanding its music tech product portfolio.
The leading B2B music and streaming solution provider, Tuned Global, is announcing the hire and strategic promotion of six key team members to supercharge its business in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa and push its AI strategy forward. Following its recent acquisition of Swedish AI music tech company Pacemaker, Tuned Global expands its technical team outside of Australia with a strong focus on music AI. Pacemaker co-founder Jonas Norberg becomes the company's Head of AI, reporting to Managing Director Con Raso, bringing along with him his team - co-founder Daniel Wallner and Product Development Director Victor Garcia.
"My mission is to get Tuned Global to use its data and other relevant assets in combination with the latest AI developments to strengthen its platform and grow our customers," says Jonas Norberg. "I'm very excited about the opportunity I see for Tuned Global to become the operating system for music, the platform developers use to create engaging music experiences."
In addition, SVP Head of EMEA Rick Gleave, who joined the company in September, strengthens customer success and sales forces in his territory with Daniel Kirby and Mateus Moura. All based in London, they will work closely with customers to provide them with vital technical support and insights as they find the perfect music and streaming solution with Tuned Global to grow their business.
Reporting to CRO Spiro Arkoudis, long-tenured team member Virginie Chelles has been promoted to VP Head of Marketing & Communications and is now located in France to boost the rapid growth in this territory.
Tuned Global's EMEA business has grown over 300% in the past three years. Rick Gleave plans to expand Tuned Global's already solid customer base in EMEA, building on their existing roster of innovative clients, including background music service Rehegoo, fitness and health music providers PureEnergy, MediMusic and METALWORKOUT, music for gaming solution Reactional Music, audio story app for Sony Music Germany and African music streaming services Waw Musik, Tieme and Sewasew.
"This expanding European team is an exciting milestone for Tuned Global and part of our global strategy to grow and lead our industry. We've worked to develop and acquire new technology from web3 to AI, and now we're bringing on the right people. I can't wait for this dynamic team to deliver great outcomes for our clients," said Con Raso, Managing Director.
"Europe, Africa and the Middle East are proving extremely important to Tuned Global's ongoing growth as a company, and we needed a dedicated team with deep regional knowledge on the ground to maximise our momentum," explains Rick Gleave. "Adding additional customer support, technical, and marketing power to the mix will let us thrive and serve more clients not only as the leading B2B music and streaming tech provider worldwide for music streaming companies but also fitness, gaming, social, media and telcos."
Meet Tuned Global's new European team:
Virginie Chelles first joined Tuned Global's Australian team in 2014. Boasting extensive agency experience working with high-value international brand campaigns (L'Oreal, Kia, Jim Beam), her marketing efforts helped put Tuned Global on the map. She also led the product marketing team of the company's consumer-facing streaming app, named Nada Kita, in Indonesia. Now relocated to France and promoted to VP Head of Marketing and Communications, Chelles aims to work closely with the newly established European team while maintaining and growing Tuned Global's reputation globally as they move into cutting-edge technologies such as AI and web3..
Victor Garciais named Senior Engineer at Tuned Global, reporting to Jonas Norberg. Part of the team at Pacemaker that built the first AI-enabled DJ app for Spotify, he will use his expertise in industrial design and music tech to continue to develop this technology at Tuned Global.
Daniel Kirby comes to Tuned Global with decades of technical experience in complex, data-rich projects, most recently as Head of IT at Octave Group (PlayNetwork/Soundnet/TouchTunes). He has helped a wide range of companies and organisations to implement and improve their IT strategies. Now as Presales Technical Consultant at Tuned Global, Daniel will assist prospective customers with technical questions about the company's turnkey music and streaming technology solutions. He will report to the SVP Head of EMEIA, Rick Gleave.
Mateus Mouratakes the role of Customer Success Manager after two years at Pacemaker, the AI-powered DJ app. Moura's expertise in community building, customer service, and product management within the music tech industry will bring tremendous value to our current customers.
Jonas Norberg is the former CEO and co-founder of Pacemaker. In that role, he created products that broke new ground for music apps and won prestigious design awards, including Apple Design Award, Red Dot "Best of the Best," Designpreis Deutschland "Gold", and Design Prize Switzerland. He also guided the company as it worked closely with international brands in the streaming and automotive industries. Norberg will now continue developing Pacemaker's technology at Tuned Global, serving as Head of Artificial Intelligence and reporting to Tuned Global's Managing Director, Con Raso.
Daniel Wallner, Pacemaker co-founder and former CTO, has done everything from designing onboard computers for satellites to creating unique audio products. An engineer with top-to-bottom knowledge, Wallner has cracked challenging problems in technology. Wallner will join the data science team at Tuned Global, reporting to Jonas Norberg.
