Symphonic Distribution, a leading music technology and services company for independent labels, managers, and artists, has signed a global distribution deal with Kafka By The Sea, one of Taiwan’s most prominent indie labels. This partnership underscores Symphonic’s commitment to amplifying the diverse sounds of Taiwan and Asia on a global scale.

Known for cultivating unique voices that resonate both locally and globally, Kafka By The Sea has established itself as a key player in Taiwan’s music scene. Among the label’s dynamic roster is Taiwanese rock band KST, currently on their “Track to Sleeping Moon” world tour across the United States, Australia, South Korea, and Southeast Asia.

The label also represents Bubble Tea and Cigarettes, a rising indie pop band who performed at the Clockenflap Music and Arts Festival in Hong Kong in November.

On November 29, Kafka By The Sea and Symphonic released Sherry Z’s debut album, Time. An emotional exploration of self-redemption, toxic relationships, and youthful passion, Time showcases Sherry Z’s unique voice with influences from retro soul to trip-hop-infused alt-R&B. Created with input from Chen Hung Li, bassist of Sunset Rollercoaster, and other all-star musicians, the album is set to make a powerful impact.

“Kafka By The Sea captures the depth and innovation of Taiwan’s music scene, which is ready for an even larger global platform,” said Guji Lorenzana, Asia Territory Manager at Symphonic. “Our partnership with them aligns with our mission to bring Taiwan’s distinctive sound to the world, a region central to our Asia expansion strategy.”

“Taiwan is a very mature independent music market, and it produces a lot of great music,” said Raykai Chen, CEO of Kafka By The Sea.” “We have achieved great success in the Chinese-speaking world and can’t wait to introduce our music to the rest of the world through our partnership with Symphonic.”

About Kafka By The Sea

Founded in Taiwan, Kafka By The Sea has championed artists who bring fresh, genre-defying sounds to the indie music world. The label supports musicians who resonate deeply with fans at home and abroad, creating a platform that celebrates authenticity and artistic innovation.
