Scott Cutler and Josh Abraham, co-CEOs of PULSE Music Group and Ashley Calhoun, President, PULSE Music Group today announced the promotion of Steven Gringer to Senior Vice President, A&R, PULSE Music Group. Gringer was previously Vice President, PULSE Music Group. Gringer is based at the company's Los Angeles headquarters and reports to Calhoun. His responsibilities include signing and developing PULSE Music Group's world-class roster of songwriters and producers and helping to oversee international creative affairs for its publishing division.

"What makes Steven really incredible as an A&R executive is his deft ability to work across genres, creating pop, latin, hip-hop and international opportunities for our roster of songwriters and producers. As we continue to take the careers of our clients to the next level, Steven's work over the past 10 years at PULSE Music Group has been an instrumental part of this success. We are delighted to recognize Steven's work with this well-deserved promotion as he continues to grow his career at PULSE Music Group," said Scott Cutler, Josh Abraham, and Ashley Calhoun.

"PULSE Music Group fosters a creative atmosphere that allows our clients and our A&R team to work to their full potential. I have had the privilege of working with this extraordinary team for over 10 years—our team dynamics keep me on the edge of my seat every day as we strategize the most effective plans for our clients and I look forward to continuing to help guide our clients and team to realizing their highest potential and goals. I owe a lot of my own personal growth to the guidance of Scott, Josh, and Ashley — I am very fortunate to have them as leaders," said Steven Gringer.

Ginger notably works with songwriter/producer Gabe Simon, who co-wrote and co-produced Noah's Kahan's critically-acclaimed album Stick Season earning him a #1 spot on Billboard's Top Rock Producers and Top Rock & Alternative Producers charts with 18 songs simultaneously on the Billboard Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart. Stick Season debuted at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 albums chart, #1 Billboard US Top Alternative Albums chart (Gabe's second career #1 Alt Album), along with three additional #1 Billboard album spots spanning multiple genres. The single "Stick Season" is RIAA certified 2x Platinum, and the album spawned multiple radio singles including a #1 on Alternative US Radio, Triple A US Radio, Top 10 at Top 40 and #1 in both the UK, Ireland and Canadian Official Singles Charts. Gabe Simon also co-produced (along with Kahan) the #1 radio single "Dial Drunk" feat. Post Malone which is RIAA certified 2XPlatinum and AIRA certified Gold. Gabe Simon's production and songwriting discography totals more than 6 billion streams worldwide, and he has co-written commercial singles for Dua Lipa, Lana Del Rey, Maroon 5, Anderson .Paak, Rag N Bone Man, James Bay, Hailee Steinfeld, Ruel, Jessie Murph and many more.

Gringer also works with producer Angel Lopez who executive produced Jack Harlow's album Come Home The Kids Miss You–including the hit single "First Class" that spent 3 weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, as well as reaching #1 at Top 40, Rhythmic, and Urban Radio.

Contuing to bring success for PULSE Music Group writers in the Latin music space, Gringer also works with Manuel Lara, a GRAMMY award-winning producer, songwriter and engineer. Manuel Lara co-wrote and produced Kali Uchis' global hit "telepatía" which spent eight weeks at #1 on Billboard Hot Latin singles chart, reached #1 at US Latin Airplay, #1 at US Rhythmic Airplay, and Top 10 at Top 40 radio, with over 2 billion streams worldwide. Manuel Lara continues to be a close collaborator of Kali Uchis, producing and writing four songs on her Billboard Top 10 album Sin Miedo (Del Amor Y Otros Demonios), two songs on Kali Uchis' album Red Moon in Venus, and three songs for her most recent album Orquídeas which debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200.

On Gringer's direct roster are also songwriters/producers DVLP (Justin Bieber, Lil Wayne, Eminem, YG, Tyga) and Xay (YG, Tyga, 21 Savage, Feid, Ozuna) who both recently co-wrote and produced multiple hits for Eladio Carrión, including "Coco Chanel" feat. Bad Bunny and "TQMQA." "Coco Chanel" entered Top 10 on Global Spotify Chart, as well as #1 across several charts on Apple Music and Spotify, and continued to be one of the most streamed songs in the world for several months. "TQMQA" hit #1 on US Latin Airplay charts, marking Carrión's first number one on the Billboard charts.

Gringer also works with producer Delacruz (Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Anuel AA, Ozuna, Jhay Cortez, and Myke Towers); Finesse(Bad Bunny, Polo G, Nicki Minaj); and Jarom Su'a (who is signed to a joint venture with Fede Vindver/PULSE Music Group). Delacruz, Finesse, and Jarom Su'a most recently have success with "Adivino" by Mike Towers and Bad Bunny, which is currently climbing the Latin airplay charts and debuted #2 on Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart.

Other PULSE writers/producers that Steven Gringer works closely with include Mitchy Collins of Lovelytheband (whose "Sail Away" was a Top 5 most played song on Alternative Radio for the year in 2023); Tido (producer and co-writer on the latest album from K Pop band Enhypen which debuted at #1 in Korea, and Top 5 in the US); Mechi Pieretti (Peso Pluma and Kenia Os "Tommy & Pamela" and a writer on multiple songs on Kenia Os' latest album Pink Aura); and Ale Alberti (Alesso, Bryce Vine, Dillon Francis, Illenium, Anitta, as well as placements in major feature films Birds Of Prey, Fast and Furious 9 and J Lo's film Marry Me); amongst others.

Whilst Gringer has contributed significantly to the development of the company's latin, pop, hip-hop and international roster, he is also currently working to expand the company's focus with big names in the K Pop world. He recently held a week-long songwriting camp at PULSE Music Group with creators who have written for some of today's top K Pop acts like NMIXX and Aespa, and he has signed clients who recently that have had songs on multi-Platinum releases by ENHYPEN and TXT (Tomorrow X Together).

Gringer joined PULSE Music Group in 2014 as A&R Coordinator for its publishing division and was quickly promoted to Creative Director that same year. In 2018, Gringer was promoted to Senior Creative Director of PULSE Music Group. In 2022, Gringer was promoted to Vice President of A&R for publishing. Prior to joining PULSE, Gringer worked in A&R at Shapiro Bernstein Music Publishing, working with a roster that included contemporary artists David Guetta and Joywave.
