Key Production Group celebrates 30 years in business by launching ‘KEY PLAYBACK - music is essential’: content and interviews in support of the UK Music Industry #KEYPLAYBACK #LETTHEMUSICPLAY
A series of artist interviews with the likes of Gardna, Annabel Allum and Hoopla Blue offer insights into music careers.
“KEY PLAYBACK is about a passion and love for music at a time when it’s never been more important to support each other.” Karen Emanuel, CEO, Key Production Group
As news emerged that the biggest names in music have signed an open letter to the government calling for more support and clear direction that will enable the 210,000 people who contribute to the UK live music industry to get back on their feet. Live music contributes £4.5Bn a year to the UK economy, so in the words of Mumford & Sons’ Ben Lovett, the industry “really does need help now.” Echoing this sense of solidarity, today, Key Production Group, which celebrates 30 years in the industry this year, launches KEY PLAYBACK: a showcase of audiovisual content from the independent music scene at a time when music has never been more essential. As Lovett notes, “Music defines our culture.”
KEY PLAYBACK content will include the voices, stories and experiences of industry players - from emerging artists through to record store owners, promoters, record labels, venues and music managers. Plus, those whose creative, tireless work and dedication continuously fuels a vibrant industry that continues to ensure the UK is one of only three net exporters of music on the planet.
Karen Emanuel, CEO of Key Production Group, explains, “We are so proud to have worked with the range of artists and other stakeholders we liaise with every day for the past thirty years. The soft launch of Playback witnessed a really positive reaction, so now, we can’t wait to hear more feedback from the music community. This time of crisis has shown our ability to pull together beyond the passion that drives each and every one of us forward every day.”
Tim Bevan, Group Sales & Marketing Director, explains, “We’ve launched Playback to reflect the importance of music, and to support the music community.”
