Breakthrough Artist shortlist unveiled for inaugural TikTok Awards 14 Nov 2024
- Jordan Adetunji (@jordanadetunji): Incredible break-out year with 'Kehlani' smashing through on TikTok into the UK Official Charts reaching #8 and hit #24 on the US Billboard 100.
- LeoStayTrill (@leostaytrill): The rapper from South London has become a breakout success story, with 'Pink Lemonade'(3.8M creations on TikTok) reaching #3 in the TikTok Billboard Top 50 Chart, and hit #5 in the US Viral 50 chart on Spotify, and is a great example of UK Rap going global.
- Myles Smith (@mylessmithuk): 'Stargazing' gave Myles his first Top UK 10. Myles started posting acoustic covers to TikTok in 2022, and soon started gaining a huge following. Speaking about how TikTok has helped his career, Myles said: “being able to reach people on the complete other side of the world to me, who are experiencing things that I’ve experienced, I think has made me feel more connected me more than anything could”.
- Nxdia @nxdiamusic: As of 2024, Nxdia has amassed over 10 million followers on TikTok. She Likes A Boy (42k creations) was their first truly viral sound. Track hit over 30m streams on Spotify. Track peaked at #74 on OCC charts.
- Artemas (@artemasaltalt) 'i like the way you kiss me' was a community driven trend, this new song by British-Cypriot artist Artemas went viral on and off-platform after he began teasing it on TikTok in early March. It hit #1 in both the Global Top 50 and Viral 50 charts on Spotify, and has risen to #3 in the Official UK Singles Chart.
- Rachel Chinouriri (@rachelchinouriri): Rachel continues to go from strength to strength with her 400k followers on TikTok and her debut album reaching momentum with a top 20 OCC Album Chart this year
