Women's leadership programme Music Leaders Network opens applications for September

Women’s leadership programme Music Leaders Network opens applications for September 2025.

Applications are open now and the programme will run from September 2025 until January 2026.

The 12 members of the next cohort of the transformational leadership programme will be joining a growing alumni of 90 people from across the music industry.

Led by Remi Harris MBE and Tamara Gal-On, the initiative aims to transform the career development of women, trans and non-binary people with between 5-25 years of music industry experience.

“It’s what happens after the 12 weeks of coaching that really means the most to me - people reaching director level, people working together, people becoming leaders in the music industry and lifting other leaders up too. Music Leaders Network is building its own legacy and that's the joy of it, that’s the thing that really makes an industry wide impact.”
Tamara Gal-On, Co-Founder.

Music Leaders Network, the highly-regarded professional development programme for women, trans and non-binary people in music is now open for applications for its September 2025 cohort.

Applicants for the September 2025 programme will be joining a network of people from across the music industry. Alumni include leaders from FUGA, Polydor, September Management, PPL, PRS for Music, AIM Ireland and Blue Raincoat Music as well as freelance music creators.

The transformational programme is the only UK leadership programme that brings together mid-career women, trans and non-binary people from across the industry and establishes them in a deliberate peer-to-peer network.

Remi Harris MBE and Tamara Gal-On say they are seeing the results of the programme on the wider music industry.

Remi Harris MBE said: “This is the sixth year of Music Leaders Network and we are absolutely seeing the impact of the programme on our participants, their wider network and the music industry.

Music Leaders Network attracts ambitious people who want to grow and become the best version of themselves - they are taking on big challenges. They are having to do things they have never done before in an industry that is going through massive changes.

Having the support of dedicated coaching and dedicated time to grow as a leader is invaluable. We’ve seen it with our 90 alumni - the combination of transformational coaching, peer-to-peer support and a built in network is helping our alumni become better, more effective leaders.”

On the importance of the network, Tamara Gal-On said: “It’s what happens after the 12 weeks of coaching that really means the most to me - people are reaching director level, people are working together, people are  becoming leaders in the music industry and lifting other leaders up too.

Music Leaders Network is building its own legacy and that's the joy of it, that’s the thing that really makes an industry wide impact.”

The programme is known for creating effective leaders, giving participants the skills they need to increase their visibility and realise their potential in an industry that is still male dominated.

For example, of the people who completed the programme in January 2025:

100% reported being more effective overall;

92% said they felt more confident;

92% were already implementing what they had learnt on the programme; and

100% would recommend it to a colleague.

Applications open today, Friday 28th March 2025 for the September 2025 cohort via the Music Leaders Network webpage and close on Friday 13th of June.

The founders will again provide discretionary bursaries to help with costs for self-employed participants and those working for charities.

For those considering taking a place on the programme, online Q&A events will be available where prospective participants or businesses can ask Remi or Tamara questions about the programme. These are 30 minutes long.
