WILDLIFE ENTERTAINMENT APPOINTS NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR

EMMA GREENGRASS TO JOIN COMPANY IN KEY ROLE

Sarah Abbott Promoted to Finance Director

Leading artist management company Wildlife Entertainment is pleased to announce the appointment of Emma Greengrass to the position of Managing Director, reporting directly to CEO Ian McAndrew

London based Wildlife Entertainment was established in 1989 and has grown to become one of the leading artist management companies in the UK. It represents a number of prominent UK bands including Arctic Monkeys, The Last Shadow Puppets, Travis and Royal Blood.

Emma joined the music industry as a regional radio plugger at London Records and subsequently Warner Music in 1989.

Following a prestigious Music Week "Plugger of the Year" award in 1991 she moved on to an A&R role at WEA and following that as a label manager. Emma was then promoted to Marketing Manager, handling the marketing of all UK repertoire, from ZTT Records to the Blanco Y Negro label as well as the internal releases from WEA UK.

In October 1995 she was hired by Alan McGee and Dick Green as Marketing Manager at Creation Records, solely responsible initially for the band Oasis, joining just prior to the release of the multi-million selling album "What's The Story, Morning Glory?". She became General Manager at Creation in 1997, working across many Creation acts from Jesus & Mary Chain to Bernard Butler and Primal Scream, while continuing to oversee the success of Oasis throughout the rest of the 90's.

Upon the demise of Creation Records in 2000, she was asked by Oasis to help set up and lead their own label Big Brother Recordings, the label that went on to oversee every Oasis release post 2000, until their split in 2009.

Following a short illness and sabbatical, from 2010 – 2012, Emma briefly handled releases by Travis and I Am Kloot as a consultant alongside Ian McAndrew at Wildlife Entertainment.

Most recently Emma has worked with Jim Chancellor, Michael Roe and the management team at Caroline International, as the UK Label Head, helping launch the company and taking it to a "Best Label Services" win in its first year at the Music Week Awards.  As well as working on the Mercury Music Prize nominated Gaz Coombes album "Matador", she also oversaw critically acclaimed album releases by the likes of St Vincent, Bears Den and Glass Animals among many others.

Wildlife Entertainment CEO Ian McAndrew said, “I am delighted that Emma Greengrass has accepted the position of Managing Director at Wildlife. Emma brings to Wildlife a wealth of experience and is hugely respected and admired within the artist and label community. She has helped manage and coordinate numerous successful campaigns for some of our most revered artists and bands. Her exceptional talent and experience will be a huge asset to our artists and team.”

Emma Greengrass said: "I have known Ian for over 15 years, as both a respected colleague and a friend and have always hugely admired his ability to discover and develop successful artists. His artist roster is second to none in the UK management world and I am looking forward with relish to the challenge of helping him continue the success of Wildlife Entertainment as well as growing his roster over the coming years. Leaving Caroline was an incredibly hard decision to make, as their team is, in my opinion, simply the best in the label services sector and they are, after only three years in business, providing a fantastic service to a large number of high profile artists. However, the opportunity of working with the artists and team at Wildlife Entertainment was too good to turn down."

Wildlife Entertainment has also announced the promotion of accounts manager Sarah Abbott to the position of Finance Director.  This appointment will see Sarah, who has worked at Wildlife Entertainment since 2013 support Emma in her new role.  Ian McAndrew adds, “I am pleased to promote Sarah Abbott to Finance Director in recognition of the key role she undertakes in the support of our company and the artists we represent.”
