London, 25th July 2013: Warner Music UK (WMUK) today confirmed a number of senior leadership positions following the acquisition of Parlophone Label Group (PLG) earlier this month.
Christian Tattersfield will lead the combined company as CEO, WMUK. He will also act as Co-Chairman of Warner Bros. Records UK with Miles Leonard, who combines this new role with his responsibilities as Chairman, Parlophone, reporting to Tattersfield. Leonard, who occupied various positions at Virgin and Parlophone before leading A&R across both labels, has been instrumental in the careers of many of the UK’s most acclaimed artists, including Coldplay, Gorillaz, Kylie Minogue, Lily Allen and Tinie Tempah.
Max Lousada will continue as Chairman of Atlantic Records UK, whose UK acts include Rudimental, Plan B, Ed Sheeran, Paolo Nutini, Rumer and Birdy. His existing senior management team will remain in place steering the further growth of Atlantic and its affiliated labels. Dan Chalmers continues at the helm of Rhino, ADA & Warner Music Artist and Label Services in the UK.
Jeremy Marsh, currently Vice Chairman, Warner Bros Records UK, will assume the role of Executive Vice President, International Marketing, WMUK, taking over from Mike Allen who announced his decision to retire earlier this year.
Tattersfield said, “I am delighted to confirm Miles’ appointment. His influence on the UK music scene has been enormous and the success of the acts he has championed, both at home and abroad, makes him a tremendous addition to our team. As well as building on Parlophone’s many achievements, I am confident his new role within Warner Bros. Records opens up great potential for us to further sharpen our focus on local A&R as well as continuing to provide best-in-class support to the many global superstars on the roster.”
“I would like to thank Mike for the tremendous success he has helped create for our artists around the world. He has been a real asset to our organisation and his commitment and professionalism have been second to none.  Jeremy is a seasoned operator with strong relationships across the business who is ideally placed to assume responsibility for this important area.”
Leonard said, “I am very excited to finally be bringing Parlophone over to Warner Music and working with both Christian and Max, who I have huge respect for. ClearlyWarner Music and Parlophone share a vision and culture that puts artists first and togetherwe have the most forward thinking and exciting music company in the business.”
Also assuming new roles that will span Parlophone and Warner Bros. Records UK are Mandy Plumb and Kevin McCabe. Plumb will become SVP, Marketing, Parlophone & Warner Bros. Records UK, reporting to Leonard and to Tattersfield in his capacity as Co-Chairman, Warner Bros. Records UK. McCabe will become SVP, Media, Parlophone & Warner Bros. UK, with the same reporting line.
Additional new positions include Bob Workman, who is named VP, Brand Partnerships, WMUK and Rich Robinson, who becomes VP, Synch, UK and Europe. Both Workman and Robinson will report to Tattersfield. Paul Craig continues to serve as SVP, Artist Partnerships, WMUK.
Tattersfield added, “The Warner Music UK and Parlophone teams consist of some of the industry’s most gifted, visionary and driven executives. The new line-up we have created blends the best of both organisations, preserving our existing knowledge and expertise while introducing complementary new skills. The combination of the Warner Bros. and Parlophone labels with Max Lousada’s Atlantic UK further strengthens our position as the UK’s first-choice home for new talent.”
