Warner Chappell Music signs global publishing deal with reggaeton icon Yandel



 

Warner Chappell Music (WCM) U.S. Latin has signed a worldwide administration deal with reggaeton superstar Yandel. Throughout his iconic career, he has received numerous awards, including two Latin Grammys for Best Urban Song and Best Urban Fusion performance ("Encantadora") and three Latin American Music Awards, including the Latin AMA Pioneering Award, Collaboration of the Year and Best Urban Song for "Yandel 150" ft. Feid. This month, he released the hit single "Encantadora (Sinfónico En Vivo)" and unveiled the Yandel Sinfónico world tour, set to kick off at El Coliseo in Puerto Rico in May.

Yandel said: "I am really excited to join Warner Chappell Music, and I am looking forward to creating groundbreaking content. I'm counting on their experience and the innovative opportunities they bring to music creators everywhere."

Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Yandel (Llandel Veguilla Malavé) began his music journey in the late 90s as a part of the GRAMMY Award-winning reggaeton duo Wisin & Yandel. Yandel released his first solo studio album, Quien Contra Mí, in 2003, and in 2013, he released the RIAA gold-certified album, De Líder a Leyenda. He went on to release eight studio albums, including Dynasty in collaboration with Tainy. In 2023, he earned two Latin Grammy nominations for "Yandel 150" ft. Feid and the following year, he released his 11th studio album ELYTE through WCM's sister label Warner Music Latina. It included the lead track "Borracho y Loco" with Myke Towers, which went No. 1 on Billboard's Latin Airplay chart. Yandel has collaborated with top artists like Daddy Yankee, Bad Bunny, Ozuna, Maluma, 50 Cent, T-Pain, Jennifer Lopez, Tego Calderón, J Balvin, Feid, Myke Towers, Farruko, and Blessd, among many others. He has achieved 16 No.1's on Billboard's Top Latin Airplay chart and in May 2021, the music creator was honored by the RIAA with 16 platinum and four gold certifications for his musical achievements.
