Warner Chappell Music sign publishing deal with influential producer Toddla T

Warner Chappell Music, the music publishing arm of Warner Music Group, has signed a worldwide publishing deal with influential DJ, producer and songwriter Toddla T.
Toddla T is best known for his 11-year stint at BBC Radio 1 and Radio 1Xtra where he hosted weekly shows. He’s also enjoyed huge chart success as a producer, having shaped hits such as the BRIT-nominated ‘Ain’t It Different’ by Headie One, AJ Tracey and Stormzy, which hit number two on the UK charts; ‘Strike A Pose’ by Young T, Bugsey and Aitch, which went to number nine in the UK charts; and‘Boasty’ by Wiley, Stefflon Don, Sean Paul and Idris Elba, which charted at number 11.
Toddla T said: “A new chapter in the Toddla T Producky book… it’s great to link with Warner Chappell... more shellings to come! UK to the world.”

Toddla T is the artist name of Thomas Mackenzie Bell. He was born and raised in Sheffield and began DJing at 14 years old. He released his first album, Skanky Skanky, in 2009 which encompassed hip-hop, electro, garage, dancehall and house and featured collaborations with Matt Helders from the Arctic Monkeys, Benjamin Zephaniah, Roots Manuva, Tinchy Stryder and Hervé.
He has gone on to release two more albums, 2011’s Watch Me Dance and 2017’sForeign Light featuring Andrea Martin. In 2019, he produced and wrote on Stormzy’s seminal chart topping album Heavy Is The Head.
Most recently, he has produced for artists including Aitch, Anne-Marie, Avelino, Berwyn, KSI, Lady Leshurr, Miraa May, Mist, Sinead Harnett and Tia Carys. He is currently sitting on the Radio 1 playlist with his own single ‘Shaker’, a collaboration with Sweetie Irie & Jeremiah Asiamah ft Stefflon Don, S1mba.
