Universal Music Publishing Group, in collaboration with Organized Chaos, extends agreement with multi-platinum hit maker Tim Powell



 

Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG), a leading, global music publishing company, in collaboration with indie dance music publisher, Organized Chaos, today announces the extension of its exclusive, worldwide publishing deal with prolific songwriter, Tim Powell.

For 14 years, as a key member of the writing and production powerhouse Xenomania, the British songwriter, producer and mixer, Tim Powell, has established an esteemed credits list,  including “Hole in the Head”and “Round Round” by Sugababes, “Call the Shots” by Girls Aloud and “Love etc.” by Pet Shop Boys.

Working independently since 2010, Powell’s rich vein of form continued with further hit credits, co-writing on Paloma Faith’s “Picking Up the Pieces” with Saint Etienne on the album ‘Words & Music” and with Little Mix on “Change Your Life” from their  debut album “DNA”.

In recent years, Powell veered into clubland; a specialist niche of the London-based independent record label, Perfect Havoc, sister company to publishing arm, Organized Chaos. It too holds impressive credits, now clocking up over 10 billion global streams on signings including the UK. No. 1 single “Head & Heart” by Joel Corry & MNEK released in partnership with Warner/Asylum, and the No.19 hit “Fake Friends” by PS1 feat. Alex Hosking.

Since signing with UMPG and Organized Chaos, Powell’s credits to-date have grown to include “Rely On Me” by Sigala, Gabry Ponte and Alex Gaudino [Ministry of Sound] and “I Can’t Wait” by Tiësto and Solardo feat. Poppy Bascombe [Musical Freedom], both with over 30 million streams. Further additions include “Better” by Sonny Fodera [Solotoko] with over 10 million streams and “Celebrate” by Jodie Harsh which saw a sync to Sex Education on Netflix. Adding to other cuts with MK, Franky Wah and Vintage Culture, Powell’s combined songs have now amassed more than 1.5 billion streams globally.

New music incoming from Tim Powell includes cuts with CamrinWatson, Sonny Fodera, Matt Guy, St Ettienne and Blasterjaxx with even more expected later this year.
