un:hurd music acquires IndieKnow to bridge the all-important knowledge gap for artists in getting release ready

un:hurd music, the leading platform for fast and effective music promotion has just announced the acquisition of IndieKnow, the Bangkok based platform helping musicians get from zero to one when releasing music.

The acquisition finalised this week and signals strong growth for un:hurd as they continue to dominate and capture the market for artists releasing music.

Integrating IndieKnow's educational resources and step-by-step learning guides for navigating the music industry, un:hurd adds another stage to their pipeline as the core destination for new artists building their careers.

Both companies were founded with a vision of combining industry expertise with innovative technology to democratise access to tools and knowledge for artists around the world.

Alex Brees, Founder and CEO of un:hurd music said of the acquisition: "This acquisition is a natural alignment and allows us to provide even more value to our community. IndieKnow is a cornerstone of knowledge and empowerment for artists, and un:hurd has always been about helping artists cut through the noise more effectively. There was a certain stage in an artists release cycle that artists were struggling with. It was a stage that if artists spent more time in, they would ultimately see better promotional outcomes. When I saw what IndieKnow had built, I knew this solution would not only solve this specific challenge for artists, but also saw how beautifully the solution would fit into our new workflows which are launching early 2025. This is very exciting for artists on the un:hurd platform!"

His sentiments are echoed by Founder and CEO, IndieKnow, Andy Haggerstone"IndieKnow has always been a rich repository of educational content and nuanced industry guides. We have always sought to share knowledge and lay out easy to follow steps for emerging artists. Being based in Bangkok we are focussed on global reach, and being acquired by un:hurd is a huge win for us as a business and we are excited our content will benefit and reach more artists than ever through the un:hurd platform."
