Unchained Music chooses Sei and Dynamic for on-chain payouts

Music services company uses Web3 tech to offer 100% free DSP distribution.

Latest move will mean faster payouts, greater transparency and reduced streaming fraud.

Pioneering distribution and services company Unchained Music has chosen blockchain network Sei and wallet-based authentication and identity solutions company Dynamic to power its on-chain administration and payouts.

Unchained Music is an artist and label services company that has distributed music for more than 70,000 artists to date, as well offering marketing, strategic planning, vinyl pressing, physical distribution, playlist pitching, royalty advances and catalogue monetisation to both label and artist clients.

The company, which is headquartered in The UK with offices in The US, offers the first-ever genuinely free music distribution service for independent artists and record labels. This is made possible by bringing artists' royalties on-chain and placing them in vetted stablecoin liquidity pools to create a sustainable interest income for the company while enabling users to keep 100% of their original streaming royalties.

Aligning with Sei and Dynamic will mean that Unchained artists are given the option of on-chain payouts, alongside the traditional payment mechanisms that have been available to date, meaning faster payouts with greater transparency and flexibility.

Using Sei will also allow Unchained to store music metadata on-chain at the time of creation, reducing streaming fraud and copyright disputes by creating a public distribution record and allowing anybody to flag potentially infringing content for further examination.

Sei and Dynamic join SongBits, RoyFi, Charged Particles, Misfit Ventures and Another Block in the list of companies that Unchained Music has aligned or partnered with to date.
