Tracklib transforms its service for music makers as it launches brand new offering Sounds
30 April 2024 - Press releaseSounds will sit alongside Tracklib’s vast song sample library, allowingartists to add an array of one-shots and loops to their music - all fullyroyalty-free
Tracklib, the pioneering music sampling service, is excited to announce Sounds, a massive step forward in the sampling journey. Sounds is a brand-new offering that enables producers to access a range of authentically recorded, royalty-free loops and one-shots. This new addition to Tracklib is included in their subscription plans, making Tracklib the most complete platform for music producers who need sounds.
Already the go-to for sample usage, Tracklib bridges the gap between legendary and contemporary artists by simplifying the sample-clearing process for DIY artists and global superstars. Samples cleared through Tracklib have featured in songs by some of the world’s biggest artists, including Drake, J. Cole, and Kendrick Lamar. Its popular format, "Tracklib Sample Breakdown," showcases how popular songs are created through sampling and has generated over 100 million views.
With Sounds, Tracklib has become an entirely rounded platform where users can find everything from a slapping 808 to the vocals of an obscure 70s soul song, all with one affordable subscription.
“We maintain that music should remain a human process; everything you hear in our library has been created and curated with care by real musicians - it’s all about having the right sounds as opposed to the most sounds” says Andreas Liffgarden, Tracklib’s Chairman
Earlier this year, the company also dropped the license fee for most of its plans, enabling users to clear an unlimited number of samples without additional costs. Since the beginning of the year, the number of samples cleared through its service has tripled. A disruptor in the field, Tracklib is breaking down barriers to entry in music and continues to change the face of the game.
The company was launched in 2018 and features over 100,000 songs across 400 labels and publishers. Songs on the service span a huge range of eras and genres; from Debussy to Isaac Hayes, Brazilian pop to Reggae, Folk to deep jazz, and everything in between. With Tracklib, the art of crate digging has a bright digital future as a new generation of creators search for that one special sound...
“This is a pivotal moment for Tracklib and our customers. Not only can music makers access hundreds of thousands of incredible songs, but we’ve now entered the royalty-free sound space, making Tracklib the one-stop platform for music production” says Andreas Ahlenius, Tracklib’s CEO.
Tracklib offers subscriptions in three different tiers: Lite ($8.99 per month), Premium ($13.99) and Max ($19.99). Sounds and Unlimited sample clearance is included for Premium and Max subscribers. Users also have the option to pay annually, saving two months' worth of subscription costs. Tracklib offers a three-day free trial.
The art of sampling has become embedded in music history. Around 15-20% of all songs on Billboard's top 100 contain parts of other previously released songs at any given time. It’s part of the cyclical nature that helps some of the world’s greatest music live on forever. Musicians who sample songs by Tina Turner and Ray Charles through Tracklib could one day have their own work sampled through the service.
