TikTok celebrates #Christmasmusic

With Christmas just around the corner, TikTok invites users to search for #Christmasmusic and #Holidaymusic for the very best Christmas music on TikTok.
 
The #Christmasmusic hub on TikTok is home to the very best of festive music, making it even easier for fans to find their favourite Christmas tracks, as well as new festive releases and music from around the world.
 
The #ChristmasMusic in-app experience offers TikTok users a range of festive experiences and exclusive content, including:
  • A new in-app experience and enhanced results when users search for #ChristmasMusic or #HolidayMusic
  • Exclusive Profile Frames including a Santa Hat and Gingerbread Man
  • Playlists of Christmas tracks from around the world.
    • Christmas Hits - Top festive hits worldwide
    • Global Christmas - Trending local tracks from markets around the world
  • Exclusive content and top-performing Holiday posts
  • A selection of festive effects to unwrap
Users will also have the ability to save any tracks that they discover in the #ChristmasMusic hub to playlists on their preferred music streaming service via the 'Add to Music App' feature.
 
Today, TikTok can also reveal that Mariah Carey's 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' is the most popular Christmas track of 2024 on TikTok. 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' has seen over 20m video creations on the platform to date, narrowly beating WHAM!'s 'Last Christmas' into second place, with more than 18m historical creations.

However, it's not just older tracks that are trending on TikTok this festive season, as a number of newer tracks and artists are also trending on the platform this year. Laufey's version of Santa Baby has seen over 600k creations, with users creating videos around what they want for Christmas from Santa this year, including one from Laufey herself. V of BTS (with PARK HYO SHIN) has released a track called Winter Ahead, which has seen over 60k video creations, and inspired a new dance trend. And Bleachers' Merry Christmas, Please Don't Call has seen over 30k creations, inspired by the lyrics of this emotional break-up track.
