Charli xcx (feat. Billie Eilish) – "Guess" (1,094,308 creations)

Standing out with 5 nominations this year is Charli xcx. This collab between Charli xcx (@charlixcx) and Billie Eilish (@billieeilish) took over TikTok with its bold, electronic production and catchy chorus. The song became a favorite for fashion, attitude-driven edits and aesthetic montages. Brat sparked the Brat Summer phenomenon, encouraging fans to embrace carefree individuality, which saw Charli double her TikTok following and generate over 2.5 million creations across the Brat record.

Myles Smith – "Stargazing" (1,626,292 creations)

Myles Smith (@mylessmith) gained attention by posting acoustic covers, eventually going viral with Stargazing. Named TikTok's Breakout Artist of 2024, Myles built his career from posting covers to achieving platinum status with "Stargazing." The song peaked at No.4 on the UK Official Charts and became an anthem for sentimental TikTok edits, nostalgic vlogs, and soft-focus aesthetic videos. His meteoric rise culminated at the TikTok Awards where he was our Breakout Artist of the Year.

Artemas – "i like the way you kiss me" (9,738,302 creations)

British-Cypriot artist Artemas (@artemas) became one of the biggest TikTok-driven success stories of 2024. With 580,000 followers, his breakout hit, "i like the way you kiss me," took off after a collaboration with TikTok creator Tube Girl, whose content helped skyrocket the track's reach. The song dominated both the Global Top 50 and Viral 50 charts on Spotify, peaking at No.3 on the UK Singles Chart. Artemas' TikTok-savvy approach has helped him build a strong online community, fueling the song's massive 9.7 million TikTok creations.

The Beatles – "Now and Then" (42,343 creations)

The Beatles' (@thebeatles) long-awaited final song using vocals from John Lennon, making it an emotional moment for music fans. The Beatles 1.8 million TikTok followers, particularly classic rock enthusiasts, used the track for nostalgic tributes, emotional storytelling and family memory videos.

Central Cee (feat. Lil Baby) – "BAND4BAND" (2,590,544 creations)

Already one of the UK's biggest TikTok artists, Central Cee (@centralcee) continued his domination with "BAND4BAND." The song was widely used in flex videos, lifestyle montages and motivational content. Central Cee leveraged the track's TikTok success by engaging with fans directly, behind-the-scenes content and recently joining DJ AG's TikTok LIVE ahead of his sold out London show.

Jordan Adetunji – "Kehlani" (3,556,347 creations)

One of 2024's biggest TikTok breakout stars, Jordan Adetunji (@jordanadetunji) first posted "Kehlani" from his bedroom in Belfast, and within weeks, it became a global viral hit with the post now at 15.1 million views. Kehlani herself even reached out for a remix after seeing the song's explosion on TikTok. Adetunji's Grammy nomination for Best Melodic Rap Performance further solidified his rise, making "Kehlani" one of the biggest TikTok hits of the year.

Dua Lipa – "Training Season" (232,777 creations)

Dua Lipa's (@dualipaofficial"Training Season" became a TikTok anthem for dating frustration and self-empowerment. Users lip-synced to the lyrics in videos venting about the struggles of modern relationships and Dua Lipa herself participated in the trend. Let's not forget that viral pickle and jalapeño Diet Coke...

Beyond the Charts: TikTok's Influence on the BRITs' Categories

The Best New Artist and Best Pop Act categories are dominated by artists whose careers have been amplified by discovery on TikTok. With artists like Myles SmithThe Last Dinner Party, Rachel ChinouririBeabadoobee & Nia Archives gaining massive traction on the platform, TikTok continues to be an essential launchpad for emerging talent and we're so excited to celebrate them this Saturday in London.

  1. The Last Dinner Party (@thelastdinnerparty): The band skyrocketed to fame with their track Nothing Matters, which became a viral sensation on TikTok. Fans used the song to soundtrack emotional and artistic content, propelling the band into mainstream success and establishing them as a rising indie force.
  2. Sabrina Carpenter (@sabrinacarpenter): Sabrina Carpenter's rise to pop-stardom has been supercharged by the TikTok community, particularly with her hit singles "Espresso," "Please Please Please," and "Taste." Leading to her recognition as TikTok's #1 Artist in the U.S. for 2024.
  3. Lola Young (@lolayoung): Lola Young is already 2025's breakout star, with 'Messy' taking her from TikTok stardom all the way to The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. The track has resonated with the community around the globe, reaching #1 in the UK Official Charts and breaking the Top 20 on the Billboard Chart.

  6. Nia Archives (@archives_nia): Nia Archives emerged as a leading figure in TikTok's jungle revival, sharing clips of her tracks and giving fans insight into her creative process. Her authentic content and genre-blending sound gained her a loyal following.
  7. Rachel Chinouriri (@rachelchinouriri): Rachel built a community by sharing her artistic struggles and engaging fans with TikTok challenges. Songs like So My Darling became trending hits, helping her transition her TikTok success to streaming stardom.
