Celebrating its 30th edition, SPOT Festival will return to the heart of Aarhus, Denmark on 2nd & 3rd May 2025. Today, SPOT has confirmed the first run of artists to perform across two inspiring days of showcases, spotlighting the Danish and Nordic artists set to become future stars.

Since 1994, SPOT has been a vital platform for emerging musical talents, establishing itself as the place where Danish and Nordic artists are discovered by local, national, and international industry professionals. The festival is not just a celebration for music lovers but also a central meeting place for decision-makers in the music industry, media representatives, and cultural figures, all seeking tomorrow’s soundscapes.

When spring fills Aarhus with life and energy, the city once again becomes the gathering point for new Danish and Nordic music. Featuring artists reflecting the current trends - and perhaps even revealing future stars. SPOT is a celebration of creativity, diversity, and innovation, where the many facets of music unfold.

The festival lineup ranges from debuting artists to established names with the potential to reach even wider audiences. For attendees, SPOT offers a unique opportunity to dive into new sounds, explore unfamiliar genres, and experience a broad palette of artists - from the completely untested to those already making waves. SPOT is the gathering place for anyone eager to discover the strongest talents and musical acts the Danish and Nordic scenes have to offer.

Announced today, the first artists for SPOT’s 30th edition include Iceage frontman Elias Rønnenfelt, whose debut solo album ‘Heavy Glory’ landed in late 2024 to acclaim from the likes of Pitchfork, The Fader and The Line of Best Fit, and Icelanders Inspector Spacetime, whose carefree approach to pop has been awarded by the Icelandic Music Awards and the Reykjavik Grapevine.

They’re joined by 22-year old Danish riser Elliot’sblend of 70s glamour, melancholia and poetic indie-rock, the daring and mesmerizing Swedish quartet Girl Scout, and Zoumer, whose neon-green musical universe oscillates between energetic alternative pop filtered through punk, breakbeats, and the Algerian protest genre raï.
