Song Sleuth announces new deal with Regalias Digitales
28 August 2024 - Press releaseSong Sleuth will identify user generated live music content for all rights holders across the Regalías Digitales portfolio
Song Sleuth, the technology company solving the music industry's user-generated content (UGC) problem, announces a major new partnership with Regalías Digitales, the independent digital rights management & royalty collection company.
The Regalías Digitales deal will see Song Sleuth deploy its innovative flagship product, UGSeeker - an AI and machine learning platform that scans online platforms to find undiscovered UGC - across the company's entire catalogue comprising 1,500 artists, songwriters and publishers. A Top 10 indie music publisher on YouTube, Regalías Digitales launched in 2012 with an initial focus on Latin artists, labels and publishers. Today, its clients include Grammy-winning, Billboard-charting acts across all genres, including Latin, Hip-Hop, Rock, Reggae and Caribbean.
Founded in 2021, Song Sleuth is a technology platform that is able to 'find the unfindable' - namely UGC that is currently slipping through the net of existing detection systems on digital platforms and is therefore not being monetised.
Song Sleuth CEO Jordan Gross said, "We're delighted to be expanding our relationships within the music industry to digital rights management companies and performing rights organisations. Regalías Digitales and ICE are forward-thinking and cutting edge music companies who share our passion for innovative solutions and commitment to maximising collections for rightsholders. We're excited to get to work finding UGC that is currently being missed for their partners and ensuring that they are receiving the money they are rightfully owed."
Josh Arón Norek, Regalías Digitales President said, "As a company that has always been ahead of the curve with the monetization of user-generated content at YouTube on behalf of its publishing clients, we are excited to partner with Song Sleuth to further ensure that no publishing revenue is left on the table. Regalías Digitales will continue to proactively handle manual claims of UGC in-house, but Song Sleuth will allow us to expand our capacity even further on behalf of rightsholders."
In addition to the Regalías Digitales deal, Song Sleuth has entered into a 12-month commercial trial with ICE, the world's first integrated music copyright, licensing and processing hub. Song Sleuth's commercial trial with ICE will ensure that its ICE Core Society & Publisher partners will now explore the returns from the industry-leading UGC identification services which only Song Sleuth are able to provide, helping to identify additional works not currently included in platforms' usage reporting.
