Studio by Miraval announced as official partner of 2024

Record Store Day, the annual celebration of independent record shops, will take place this year on Saturday 20 April 2024.

More than 250 independent record shops from all over the UK are expected to take part, with thousands more celebrating across the globe in what’s become one of the biggest events in the music calendar. Shops will host parties, live performances, DJ sets and more as well as stocking a range of exciting exclusive and limited-edition release to be announced later this year. 2024 marks the 17th annual celebration of Record Store Day as it shines a light on the unique culture of record shopping, the art of vinyl and the incredible music-loving people behind the counter that serve music to their local communities. 

And to kick off celebrations, Record Store Day are delighted to announce that Studio by Miraval is set to become the ‘Official Wine Partner’ of the 2024 event, with a whole host of supporting activity to be revealed in the coming months. 

 

 Introducing Studio by Miraval

For more than 40 years, music has resonated across the grounds of Château Miraval, as the estate’s world class residency studio has inspired artists, from all genres of music, to record some of their greatest albums. Albums such as Pink Floyd’s ‘The Wall’; Wham’s ‘Make it Big’ and most recently, Travis Scott’s ‘Utopia’ have all been recorded at this iconic studio. 

Therefore, in celebration of the love and culture of music, Miraval wanted to reconnect their musical roots back to independent record shops by supporting Record Store Day.

A new dawn now beckons at Miraval Studios having recently been renovated by Brad Pitt & Damien Quintard.  The studio offers artists an inspirational atmosphere like no other and now with custom-made state-of-the-art technology. 

Brad Pitt said of the studio, “We wanted to create a space where you can be free, and it was in that spirit that we approached it - let’s make a sanctuary.” 

And upon launching this brand-new partnership with Record Store Day, Andrew Bayley, Managing Director of Famille Perrin UK said “We are absolutely thrilled to collaborate with Record Store Day through Studio by Miraval.
