05 March 2025 - Press releaseFriday 21stMarch, 12.30-10pm
Contact Theatre, Manchester
Revel, a dynamic collective of young creatives, are breaking new ground with a one-of-a-kind music event on Friday 21st March at Contact Theatre in Manchester.
Unlike conventional industry events, the Revel Music Summit has been programmed and produced by emerging music professionals for emerging music professionals, with a focus on real, open and honest conversations addressing hidden truths, tackling industry complexities and sharing straight facts.
The event will start at 12.30pm with a packed programme of interactive workshops, collaborative panel discussions, demo listening sessions and 1:1 mentoring, featuring Humz, Victoria Jane (BBC Radio 1), Michael Aldag, Shell Zenner (Amazing Radio), Latisha Pemberton (NQ House) and Latoya Reisner, and many more.
From 6pm, the afterparty will kick off with free food and live music from rising Manchester stars Prido and Meduulla.
Ahad Omer from Revel Collective said; “Revel Collective is more than a gathering, it’s a paradigm shift in the music industry. By fostering a spirit of belonging, embracing collaboration over competition, and prioritizing meaningful music, Revel is creating a new space where creativity flourishes and artists rise together.''
The collective is being supported by music charity Brighter Sound as part of WE, THE LEADERS, the WOMEX 24 legacy programme.
Yaw Owusu, Programmes and Partnerships Lead at Brighter Sound said;
“It’s been a privilege to work with this passionate group of young people over the last 12 months. Many initiatives claim they are youth-led but this project seriously has been. What started as an event production course has now become something quite different. Undertaking deep and meaningful consultation with their peers across the region, engaging with key trade bodies such as UK Music and the Musician's Union, they have formed something quite formidable: a youth-led driver of change that will not just benefit those involved but all of us that work in this industry.”
Tickets are £5 with free tickets available to anyone who needs them. Tickets and more information about the programme can be found on Eventbrite, with more to be announced in the coming weeks on Revel Collective’s Instagram.
