Alt-rock band Pixies and Tickets For Good have announced the launch of a new partnership. In a first-of-its-kind deal for the music tech company, the band are donating tickets to Tickets For Good across the platform's international network for every date on their forthcoming headline tour.
In October 2024, Pixies released their tenth studio album The Night The Zombies Came (BMG) in advance of their 20-date tour in 2025 - commencing April in the Netherlands, moving across the EU, UK, and onto the United States and Canada, culminating on August 1. The Tickets For Good partnership includes tour dates that are sold out, providing registered members a chance to gain special access via a dedicated ballot.
Tickets For Good (TFG) makes it easy for live event organisers to donate tickets to non-profit workers, healthcare staff, teachers, and people receiving various means-tested benefits, who register as members on the platform. Through TFG, these individuals who serve their community are provided access to free and heavily discounted tickets (with a booking fee) to a wide range of events while partners can develop audiences and increase their social impact. The Pixies are donating tickets directly to a wide range of people who work tirelessly to help others or face financial barriers to event attendance.
Richard Jones, President of Key Music Management and Pixies manager, adds: “Donating tickets across this global tour to deserving gig-goers through Tickets for Good has an immediate and long-lasting social impact, and we look forward to having Tickets For Good members along to enjoy the shows.”
Stephen Rimmer, Founder and CEO of Tickets For Good, comments: “Access to live events, culture and entertainment must be a right, not a privilege. We thank Richard and the Band for aligning with this vision to aid our mission of giving back to people doing good within the community.
“As we continue the international expansion of Tickets For Good and bring the joy of live events to more members across multiple territories, the support from globally renowned artists such as the Pixies further demonstrates the belief in our offering.”
Building on success in its UK origin territory, partnering with Pixies is the latest chapter of TFG’s global growth in 2024 - earlier in the year launching its US business, launching Tickets for Teachers in both the UK and US, expanding its partnership with Ticketmaster through its Distributed Commerce API, and expanding into the Netherlands where it now has over 10k registered users.
In addition to music offerings and partners with major festivals and live music events - including British Summer Time, Tramlines, Bludfest, Shambala, Camp Bestival, We Out Here and The Cambridge Club Festival - TFG offers a diverse range of experiences, from arena concerts and grassroots gigs to theatre, comedy, sports, and immersive attractions.
As well as an event partner, the company counts British superstar and philanthropist Robbie Williams among its advisors and investors. "Supporting the arts is a cause close to my heart," explains Williams. "The magic of live entertainment is something everyone should be able to benefit from; so, I’m thrilled to be working with Tickets for Good.”
