Peermusic taps Goetz Von Einem as Managing Director, Germany & Senior Vice President Digital and European Legal Affairs
07 March 2018 - Press releasepeermusic, the world’s largest independent global music publishing company with 32 offices in 29 countries, has appointed music publishing executive Goetz von Einem to Managing Director GSA & Senior Vice President Digital and European Legal Affairs as announced today by Ralph Peer II, Chair & Chief Executive Officer, peermusic and Mary Megan Peer, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, peermusic. In his new role, Mr. von Einem will lead peermusic’s operations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He will be based in Hamburg and will report to Nigel Elderton, peermusic’s European President.
In addition, Goetz von Einem will be part of peermusic’s international digital licensing team. Together with Nigel Elderton, he will be working to help peermusic´s composers and rights holders maximize the value of their copyrights in today’s complex digital licensing landscape. Goetz von Einem will also advise peermusic’s European affiliates in business affairs matters including copyright, media policy and relationships with collecting societies.

Previously, Goetz von Einem worked for BMG in its Berlin headquarters. Since 2009, he built and headed the worldwide business and legal affairs department including, in particular, the German team. He established and managed BMG´s pan-European digital licensing activities. Lastly, he was responsible for the worldwide digital licensing of the company´s publishing rights and overseeing BMG’s trade association and collection society relations.
Before joining BMG, Goetz von Einem worked as a lawyer for international law firm Noerr in its Berlin copyright and media law department. He started his career in the music business at the well-known music law firm Kiso Siefert Dropmann in Hamburg.
