The effects of expensive tickets and dynamic pricing have been revealed as more than nearly half (47%) of Brits admitted that they have missed out on seeing their favourite music artist in the past two years alone. Taylor Swift, Coldplay and Oasis are the three artists most Brits missed out on seeing in the last two years despite wanting a ticket.
The ten most "out of budget" music artists for Brits are:
- Oasis
- Taylor Swift
- Coldplay
- Elton John
- Take That
- P!nk
- Dua Lipa
- Bruce Springsteen

Almost half (49%) even admitted to spending when they cannot afford it, with an average of £5661 a year being unwillingly put towards non-essential experiences such as live music.
Of those who admitted to missing out on a gig from their favourite music artist, almost 1 in 5 (19%) cited 'dynamic pricing' as the key factor for their decision, while a further two in five (42%) simply cannot afford to go anymore.
Concertgoers continue to express their concerns about the unfairness of dynamic pricing and rising ticket prices, as, three in five (58%) admitted they shouldn't have to pay more than £75 for a ticket to see their favourite music artists.
To give back to the fans who may have missed out, Dacia, the champions of everyday great value, is offering to help with a top entertainment experience, at a price everyone can afford... free of charge.
The un-dynamically priced 'Dacia Spring Gig', taking place at Protein Studios, London on 4 December 2024, will include performances from 'Sham Fender', followed by a headline performance from the supersonic band, 'Shoasis'. To help take the event one step further, lighting and instruments will be powered using the Vehicle to Load technology on the fully electric All-New Dacia Spring, the UK's most affordable new electric car.
As key players and politicians continue to discuss reform, the British public's view could not be clearer, as an enormous 85% of Brits believe that dynamic pricing methods should be scrapped for ticketed events entirely and maximum ticket prices introduced. Meanwhile 1 hour 20 minutes was the average time Brits were prepared to wait in a virtual queue for live tickets.
Ticket pricing has proven to be catastrophic for concertgoers across the entirety of the UK, with many unable to afford the ever-increasing prices. The ten most affected cities can be found below:
- Belfast
- Glasgow
- Manchester
