Laura Golding to leave her role as PRS for Music Chief Finance Officer, following announcement of record distributions and revenues

After more than eight years, including two years as CFO, Laura Golding has decided to take on a new professional challenge.  She will be standing down on 31 July 2024, initially taking some time to enjoy travel and volunteering opportunities.

Laura has been invaluable to the success of PRS for Music throughout her time with us, including leading the CFO team, supporting our Joint Ventures and Partners NMP, PPL PRS and UK Music on Boards and Committees.  She pioneered solutions to resolve long standing Withholding Tax issues, simplifying the flow of millions of pounds of royalties to members. Laura was also instrumental in establishing the PRS’ LGBTQ+ Affinity group and has always been a strong advocate for Diversity & Inclusion at PRS and the industry.

The whole PRS for Music team thank Laura for her support and commitment to making PRS a world leading society and wish her the very best for the future.

PRS have also announced the appointment of Lee Williams as interim CFO.  Lee brings extensive experience from a career in senior finance roles, including as CFO for major retail brands French Connection and ASOS.
Lee has been working closely with Laura since the beginning of June to ensure a seamless transition of responsibilities.
