International superstar Kylie Minogue to be presented with BRITs Global Icon award + confirmed to perform

The BRIT Awards with Mastercard 2024

Saturday 2nd March – at The O2 arena on ITV1 and ITVX

The BRIT Awards 2024 with Mastercard today announces that multi-million selling international superstar and pop phenomenon Kylie Minogue will receive the BRITs Global Icon award at this year’s ceremony, which takes place Saturday 2nd March, in recognition of her career spanning across five decades as one of the world’s most successful and iconic music stars. Kylie - who is also nominated for International Artist of the Year - is confirmed to perform on the night, joining the already-announced Dua Lipa and RAYE.

Kylie’s glittering 30+ year career has seen her amass sales of over 80 million records worldwide, 5 billion streams and 9 UK No.1 albums. Her multiple awards include 3 BRIT Awards, 18 ARIA Awards, 2 MTV Awards and 2 Grammy Awards. Kylie is the only female artist to score a No.1 album in five consecutive decades in the UK. In 2023, she released her number one studio album, ’Tension’, preceded by the international smash hit single ‘Padam Padam’, which earned Kylie her second Grammy Award earlier this month. In the UK alone, Kylie has achieved seven UK No.1 singles, and nine UK No.1 albums.

Kylie said: "I am beyond thrilled to be honoured with the Global Icon Award and to be joining a roll call of such incredible artists. The UK has always been a home from home so the BRITs have a very special place in my heart. I have some amazing memories from the awards over the years and I can't wait to be back on the BRITs stage. See you at the O2!

The BRITs Icon is the highest accolade given by The BRIT Awards and is reserved for truly exceptional artists, with previous winners being Elton John, Robbie Williams, David Bowie and Taylor Swift.

Like all winners on the night, Kylie will be presented with an award designed by British visual artist and painter Rachel Jones. The BRITs will this year be hosted by Clara Amfo, Maya Jama and Roman Kemp.
