Indie- dance label Perfect Havoc scores first UK number 1 single in partnership with Asylum/Atlantic

London’s independent dance label, Perfect Havoc, have today secured their first Number 1 Single with Joel Corry and MNEK's 'Head & Heart in partnership with Asylum Records/Atlantic Records via Kevin Christian-Blair and Ed Howard. Knocking Jawsh 685 & Jason Derulo off their 3-week hold of the top spot by 6,346 sales, this makes Perfect Havoc the first independent No.1 of 2020.

With a tight and focused business model, Perfect Havoc founders Adam Griffin and Robert Davies have built their imprint into one of the independent label success stories of 2020 so far. ‘Head & Heart’ will be Perfect Havoc's third UK Top 10, following #4 earlier this year with Joel Corry 'Lonely' and #6 in August last year with Joel Corry 'Sorry' (which holds the record as the most Shazam'd track ever in one day in the UK).

Perfect Havoc co-founder Adam Griffin said;

“We are delighted to be top of the hit parade and delighted to have two records in the Top 40. We first recognised Joel's talent on meeting two years ago, and it was clear from the beginning that with his determination and tenacious approach matching ours, that big things were ahead. Fast forward and we're now no.1 and experiencing our third top ten single in a row. Perfect Havoc via ADA Warners is going from strength to strength with many records achieving over ten million streams. We are now approaching half a billion overall.”

Their success is not just based around Joel Corry; they are also sitting at #31 with 'Fake Friends’ by dance act newcomer, PS1 - a track which has been played for 15 consecutive weeks on Radio 1's Party Anthems and playlisted on KISS FM and Capital FM in partnership with Columbia Records and Ferdy Unger-Hamilton and Preye Crooks.

Outside of crossover chart hits, Perfect Havoc releases now enjoy consistent support across Radio 1, KISS, Capital, and in key DSP playlists, with releases hitting over 400 million streams to date. The label is red hot and major labels are all jockeying to work with them going forwards.

Adam Griffin cut his teeth at Sony’s flagship dance label INCredible before taking a role as marketing manager at RCA running campaigns for US superstars including Beyoncé. His partner Robert Davies began as work experience in Adam’s department at Sony/RCA where he then ventured to EA Games and began his own talent agency at 21. By 2013, the pair decided to work together and set up Perfect Havoc.

With recent hit syncs, distribution and licensing deals, Perfect Havoc is making some really big waves right now.
