IMPEL strikes strategic partnership with Blokur

Alliance with leading music rights and data platform marks beginning of 'exciting plans for growth'

IMPEL, the independent music publishing digital licensing body has announced a strategic partnership with Blokur, which will be key in creating the conditions for its future growth.

Blokur is the leading music rights and data platform which makes it simple for apps and platforms to add music to digital products and services while ensuring the value accurately flows back to the rights holders and creators.

In this initial phase of their partnership, Blokur will provide a copyright hub for IMPEL using its comprehensive database of rights data and world class matching technology. The hub will consolidate and enrich IMPEL's data, streamlining its delivery to IMPEL's licensing and administration partners around the globe. This will augment IMPEL's ability to promote the breadth and quality of its fast-growing repertoire to digital services, and to act quickly in seizing important new licensing opportunities.

This alliance will pave the way for future initiatives to support IMPEL in fulfilling its mission of being the premier licensing hub for the independent publishing community worldwide.
